Fynn & Wylder
Kelly Hubble is the busy & talented mom behind Fynn & Wylder. Based out of Marmora, she has been creating and selling baby/toddler clothing and accessories for about 2.5 years.
Kelly says that her products are often one of a kind and that she uses fabrics that are unlike the ones that you might find in stores. Quite frankly, Kelly’s products are GORGEOUS. Her triangle bibs are adorable and beautifully made… but I am absolutely in LOVE with Fynn & Wylder’s hats! They are soft & stylish and I seriously plan to stock up on them for both of my kiddos.

Morgan Kotsovos is the founder, owner and parent behind ‘Cactus Rose’, which means ‘a shared love between parent and child’. The business, which is owned and operated by Morgan and her husband, was launched in June of 2017. Cactus Rose is primarily an online boutique, though you can also find them at pop-ups and events such as the Wellington Farmer’s Market in Prince Edward County.
What makes Cactus Rose so fabulous? They custom design and hand-draw all artwork for their children’s clothing – t-shirts, onesies, maxi skirts, pants and shorts; and curate all other products (such as their wooden teethers) in their store. Aside from the absolutely sweet and adorable designs of all of their products, what makes Cactus Rose even more loveable is that they strive to be environmentally friendly. Their clothes are ethically and sustainably made here in Canada and they only use environmentally friendly dyes that are harmless for your littles.

Purple Foxes Den
Krista Crowe began Purple Foxes Den out of Stirling just a few months ago. She creates adorable children’s tees and onesies using heat pressed vinyl, as well as wood signs and drink ware. What I love about Krista is the huge amount of care she puts into each piece that she creates. She works closely with her customers to bring their vision to life, involving them in the design process to make sure that they get just what their heart desires. Krista says that she only creates products that she herself loves and would use herself. This level of care shines through in her finished product. I recently bought a custom onesie from Krista and couldn’t be happier with the quality of her product.
Product Prices: $10 and up

Janine continues the theme of bright colours and patterns for her nursing pads, which are a great eco-friendly alternative to the disposable ones. Her taggy blankets are made with an awesome crinkle backing to keep baby entertained.

Barefoot with Gretchen
Ok, so this is not exactly a locally-made product, but Gretchen is a local ambassador for Barefoot Books, which is an absolutely awesome company that creates diverse, inclusive and inspiring books for children. Gretchen is based out of Frankford and has been selling children’s books, puzzles and educational games for 2 years.
What makes these items special is that they strive to introduce children to a diverse community even from a very young age. The books have a strong emphasis on promoting inclusion, empathy and diversity. Many of the titles are available in French and Spanish as well. As a teacher, I have to say that these products are right up my alley. We have a big collection of children’s books in our house, so of course I bought one of Gretchen’s books to add to our shelves. I have to say that the messages in the books are awesome but they are also super fun!! I picked out a robot book for my 2.5 year old son and he LOVES it.
Product Prices: $8-$25
