The Wellington Adventure Playground is located at 251 Wellington Main Street, right beside the Wellington United Church.
BEST FOR AGES:
Babies to Big Kids
Large wooden play structure with monkey bars, slide, cat walks, bridges, various climbers including large stacked rubber tires and a moving balance beam. Separate toddler area including smaller wooden climber with tunnel and a sand pit. Four baby swings and four big kid swings.
Mature trees beside the playground and a gazebo.
The playground is located in a small park, just off charming Wellington Main Street. The park itself includes a gazebo, picnic tables and washrooms. It is set on Lake Ontario, providing beautiful views while you play!
Benches throughout the playground and picnic tables beside the playground.
There is a paved pathway leading into the park area, however, the playground itself is not accessible.
We’ve visited the Wellington Adventure Playground a few times now and always enjoy it. Lennon (3 years old) loves to play hide and seek on the large wooden play structure. There are so many little nooks and crannies to explore. His favourite feature is the sand pit and he usually ends up spending most of his time in there. My favourite feature is the beautiful view over Lake Ontario as I push the kids in the swings.
We also love the convenience of this playground. We’ve usually been able to find parking on the street right in front of the park. There are clean, fully functioning washrooms (as opposed to porta-potties) right beside the playground – great for potty training toddlers 🙂 . We also love the gazebo and picnic tables for having a snack or picnic lunch after we play.
If you want to make a day-trip of it, there is a little beach very near to the playground as well as cute shops, ice cream & restaurants just a few minutes walk along Wellington Main Street.
